Meditation is by far the easiest thing you will do and the hardest thing you will ever do but the most rewarding and beneficial practice that can be a major game-changer in your life.
My No.1 tip is to not to try and control your thoughts but to allow them in and watch them leave without staying too long.

When Starting out
Understand that there are many different types of meditation; I suggest going for a guided meditation that involves gratitude. Anyone can do a gratitude meditation and I promise you, you will have a warm fuzzy feeling by the end of it. These meditations are best to practice first thing in the morning or last thing at night.
It will be the best 12 minutes of your day.
