Tasmania Branch Operations

Earlier this month, Airmaster CEO, Noel Courtney announced that the Victorian branch would no longer manage the Tasmania operations and therefore both Tasmania branches would operate independently of Victoria. Heading up the Tasmania branches in Hobart and Launceston is Tassie local, Tom Marshall. Previously the Service Manager for the state, Tom has been a part of the Tasmania operations from day one. The Airmaster Marketing team sat down for a Q&A with Tom to get a better insight into his role at Airmaster.

Staff Profile

Tom Marshall,

Branch Manager - Tasmania

What are your responsibilities at Airmaster?

I am responsible for the overall delivery of Airmaster’s objectives across Tasmania, ensuring our brand is maintained and enhanced and to manage, support and train our team across multiple levels in order to achieve our business related goals.

How long have you been in the industry and your experience at Airmaster?

I have been in the industry for 16 years. I moved across to Airmaster Melbourne office in February 2012 in an Account Management role before moving back home to Tassie in September 2012 for what was the beginning of our Tasmanian Branch.

The most rewarding part of your job? Most challenging part?

I have been privileged to have been involved in this branch from day one, to have grown from 2 staff initially to now close to 40 statewide, to meet and work with great people both within our branch and our external customer base has been the most rewarding aspects. Challenges will continue to lie ahead, especially in ensuring we continue to attract good people and to ensure we keep the focus making sure our service delivery remains above expectations.

What are you working on now and what is your next big project?

We are currently working on restructuring certain areas within our branch in both our northern and southern regions, with additional resources being added, in order to better manage and improve our operations moving forward.

What are your favourite sporting teams?

Melbourne Demons (AFL), and also enjoy sports such as golf, surfing and cycling.
