Airmaster has been recognised at the annual Climate Control News HVAC&R Leadership Awards, with three staff members named finalists in their respective categories. The HVAC&R Leadership Awards, presented by industry publication Climate Control News, recognises the pioneers, innovators and entrepreneurs that drive the HVAC&R industry into the future.

Woman of the Year in HVAC&R Award

Kelli McDonald and Irene Winter have been named as finalists for the Woman of the Year in HVAC&R Award. This award recognises the successful career of a woman working in HVAC&R. Finalists in this category have demonstrated excellence in their field, and are a source of inspiration for other women.

With more than 17 years experience in the industry, Kelli has well developed her skills at Airmaster across a variety of roles, from her first role as Service Controller to working on the establishment of Airmaster’s NSW branch to her current role as Commercial Manager – National JLL/ANZ.

Her vast experience across many facets of the HVAC&R industry has resulted in Kelli building an outstanding working relationship with JLL and the ANZ portfolio. Her work in this role has seen Kelli successfully manage delivery requirements across a diverse commercial portfolio in Australia and South East Asia.

Irene has been a part of the industry for 19 years, joining Airmaster in 2004 as a Service Controller, moving to Office Manager – Service Department to her current role as Management Systems Coordinator.

Irene’s strong skills in the development, maintenance and improvement of Airmaster’s integrated management systems is evident with her qualifications as a certified lead auditor in WPHS, ENV & QA systems.

Male Rising Star Award

Airmaster State Manager for NSW, Jason Harrison, is a finalist for the Male Rising Star Award. This award recognises the future champions – those who have either risen quickly through the ranks, or significantly contributed to a project, product, research or program that is making a positive difference.

Jason’s contributions to the HVAC&R industry have been achieved in just a short space of time. Jason served and completed his apprenticeship by January 2012 whilst employed by Honeywell, where he was promoted to Project Engineer/Manager later that year.

In April 2013, Jason joined Airmaster as Project Delivery Manager and in May 2015 he was promoted to BMS and Controls Manager.

Jason is currently State Manager for the NSW Branch, a position he was awarded in August 2016. He is also currently in his final year of a Bachelor of Engineering majoring in Mechatronics Engineering.

Award winners will be announced at the CCN Trade Conference being held on Thursday August 24th in Sydney. Further details on the awards or attending the awards evening can be found here.
