Airmaster is pleased to announce the acquisition of Australian Airconditioning and Mechanical Services (AAMS), a respected Darwin-based mechanical services company with long-standing experience across the Northern Territory. This acquisition marks a significant milestone in Airmaster’s national strategy, establishing a dedicated Northern Territory branch and strengthening the company’s capability across Australia’s northern region.

For nearly four decades, Airmaster has delivered mechanical, HVAC&R, Automation & Energy, Fire, and Digital Buildings solutions across Australia and New Zealand. The addition of the Northern Territory broadens the company’s national footprint and supports growing demand from existing customers who operate in or service the NT market.

AAMS has built a reputation for strong technical capability, deep local knowledge and reliable service delivery across commercial, industrial and government facilities in the region. All AAMS employees will transfer to Airmaster, ensuring complete continuity for customers during the transition.

Through this acquisition, Airmaster will introduce its wider suite of advanced technologies and integrated services to the NT market, including building automation, analytics-driven maintenance and energy optimisation solutions.

Wayne Bover, Group Managing Director of Airmaster, said:

“The Northern Territory is an important and fast-developing region for infrastructure, defence, transport and commercial property. Establishing a permanent Airmaster presence in the NT is a strategic step forward for us and strengthens our ability to support customers nationally, particularly those with multi-state portfolios.”
“AAMS has built a strong reputation in the Territory, with a team that understands the local climate, remote conditions and the complex requirements of NT-based assets. Bringing that capability into Airmaster, while introducing our wider offering in Automation & Energy and Digital Buildings, allows us to deliver more value and stronger outcomes for customers across the region.”

Simon Peters, Director and Founder of Australian Airconditioning and Mechanical Services (AAMS) and newly appointed State Manager - Northern Territory, said:

“Joining Airmaster represents an exciting next chapter for our team and our customers. We have always taken pride in delivering reliable, high-quality mechanical services across the Territory. Becoming part of Airmaster gives us the ability to expand what we can offer, backed by the resources, technology and support of a national organisation.”
“What matters most is continuity - our team is staying together, our customer relationships remain in place, and the work continues uninterrupted. At the same time, our clients will gradually see the benefit of new service capabilities and technology-led solutions that Airmaster brings to the NT market.”
“I’m proud to lead the Northern Territory branch and to guide our team through this transition as we continue supporting our customers and strengthening our presence in the region.”

The NT branch will continue operating from the current Berrimah office in Darwin for a minimum of five years, reinforcing Airmaster’s commitment to a stable and long-term local presence.

Completion of the acquisition is subject to customary regulatory approvals, including ACCC approval.
