Airmaster has been named a finalist in two categories at the 2026 ARBS Industry Excellence Awards, which celebrate achievement across innovative products, projects and services within Australia’s HVAC&R and building services sector.

The nominations include:
IBTech Product Excellence Award
Intelligent Maintenance: A Data-Driven Shift in HVAC Service Delivery
Minor Project Excellence Award (Under $5M)
Eastland Shopping Centre - Stage 1 Chiller Replacement
While different in application, both point to a similar line of thinking. A focus on how buildings actually perform once they are up and running, not just how they are designed.
Intelligent Maintenance: A Data-Driven Shift in HVAC Service Delivery
Intelligent Maintenance was developed in response to a challenge seen across many buildings. Systems produce a constant stream of data, but turning that into something useful on a day-to-day basis is not always straightforward.
By bringing together live BMS data, diagnostics and asset insights into one place, the platform supports a shift away from reactive servicing toward more proactive, data-led maintenance. It provides clearer visibility of system performance and helps teams prioritise action where it’s needed most.
This is already delivering measurable outcomes. Across a number of sites, energy use has been reduced by up to 20 percent, and issues are being identified earlier before they develop into larger faults.
Eastland Shopping Centre Chiller Upgrade
At Eastland Shopping Centre in Melbourne’s east, the project involved upgrading critical plant within a live retail environment, where the centre continues to operate under high demand.
The upgrade involved replacing ageing infrastructure as part of a broader program to improve reliability, reduce energy use and support long-term performance. For a site of this scale, that meant careful staging, coordination and a clear understanding of how the plant performs under load.
Rather than a like-for-like replacement, the project introduced high-efficiency magnetic bearing chillers, supported by improved control across the central plant. The result is a system that is more stable, more efficient and easier to manage day to day.
Together, these projects point to a broader shift in how existing buildings are approached.
Whether through digital platforms or targeted upgrades, there is a growing focus on visibility of performance and more informed decision-making over time.
Congratulations to the other finalists across all categories.
Winners will be announced at the ARBS Industry Excellence Awards Gala Dinner, held during ARBS 2026 on 6 May 2026 at Zinc, Federation Square. Our team looks forward to attending and connecting with others across the sector.
