Airmaster VIC's Antoni Pisa Set to Shave Beloved Beard and Hair to Raise $5k for Cancer Council

On December 7th, Antoni Pisa, Fire Contract Manager for Airmaster VIC, will front the clippers - awarding his highest, individual bidder, the chance to free him of his facial fuzz.

Three years in the making and measuring 500mm at its longest point, Antoni hopes to raise $5,000 - a rate of $10 per millimeter, by shaving his beard, and head, in support of the Cancer Council.

Originally known as the Australian Cancer Society, in 1961, Cancer Council formed a federal body to promote cancer control at a national level. Today, it is the only charity that works across every area of cancer, from research to prevention and support.

“You, a loved one, a family member, or a friend - I don't think that there would be a person in Australia that hasn't been affected by cancer in some way.” states Antoni.

Through fundraising efforts and donations from generous Australians, the Cancer Council has made a huge impact in the lives of those impacted by cancer. The not-for-profit has provided it’s support services over *250,000 times and, in conjunction with research partners, has invested over *$51.7 million across Australia, making them the largest non-government funder of research in the country.

Although attached to his beard and hair, Antoni is on a mission to help make a difference, in any way that he can.

“If you do know me, you’ll know how much I love my beard, but there are many people I love more, so I'm trying to raise some money to help protect the people I love, and the people you love, by shaving it - and my head!”

Hosted by Airmaster at the Scoresby branch, all proceeds of the Great Shave will go directly to the Cancer Council, helping to fund world-class research, preventative programs and to deliver support to those who need it, at a time when they need it most.

“To everyone who has donated to date, thank you from the bottom of my heart. With your support, I’m getting closer to reaching my ambitious target.” Antoni continued.

Donations for Antoni’s Great Shave on behalf of the Cancer Council are now open and can be made at: https://fundraising.cancervic.org.au/fundraisers/antonipisa/airmaster-beard-shave--antoni-pisa-
