Trans-Tasman bubble opens the door for Airmaster, Optimum Air and ControlCo Automation collaboration

Updated: May 14, 2021

With the introduction of the Trans-Tasman travel bubble allowing visits between Australia and New Zealand, Airmaster have finally had the opportunity to travel to its Optimum Air Head Office in Auckland to formally meet the ControlCo Automation team. This marks the first time Airmaster has been able to travel to New Zealand since the acquisition of Schneider Electric’s Digital Buildings Division back in late 2020.

Airmaster and Optimum Air CEO Noel Courtney, Acquisition Leader Rob Huntington, alongside Airmaster and Optimum Air board members and key operational staff met with the team to conduct training, collaborate, discuss key results from the 2020 financial year and look to the future.

Following the successful acquisition back in December, Airmaster took this opportunity to welcome the ControlCo Automation Team members to the Airmaster family and thanked them for the steps taken to ensure a seamless transition. Further discussions relating to business management solutions and portal training were had alongside strategy and customer growth solutions.

The acquisition has allowed ControlCo Automation to continue to provide the leading edge solutions in BMS maintenance and service, systems and product integration, as well as design and installation projects for their customers. This integration into the Optimum Air business has already proven to be a success, with many synergies realised with the combines knowledge and expertise of both teams.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with the success of the transition of the past five months, particular given the challenges posed of not being able to do so in person,” said Courtney.

“In particular, Scott Finn, General Manager for Optimum Air, and Nigel Loraine, National Manager – Controls and Automation for ControlCo Automation should be extremely proud of the tireless work they have done in integrating the teams. We continue to be excited about the future for the business and for our New Zealand – based customers,” he said.

With travel restrictions now easing between the two countries, further meetings have already been set to build upon this trip.
